Betor forks no better then stock fish oil yammie forks? Dude! they are way smoother with actual damping and nice alloy clamps. Yamaha forks back in the day just clacked and clanked and flexed. They could be made to work better but not a lot.

We'll have to get together one of these days. It's been a while since I've seen you now I guess I know why.

Keep tinkering with that bike and enjoy.

Thanks! Moving back into the Twin Lakes house next week. Things should start to settle down after that.

Back home, at least my home... The '68 DT1 now is a conversation piece in the familyroom.
A few vintage shows may be in it's future, but for now we plan on spending the snowy winter months watching AMA Supercross and MotoGP races that I have on the DVR to get me to Spring.

I don't know, it looks pretty bored there. Maybe some spikes in the tires and a few trips around the pond would cheer the old girl up this winter

Yeah, it got bored so I changed the number plates to make it more correct for the late '60s.

Very cool read! My first bike was a '70 RT-1. I still have it and hope to get it going again soon. I have most of a donor frame and motor too. I was surprised there was still some interest in these? I wonder if I can still get it plated here in Cali? I had it street legal 35 years ago...

After a day of head scratching, wire wiggling, and point cleaning, a pretty blue spark reappeared!!
I put some fresh pre-mix in the tank it it fired right up.
Plan is to load it in the truck and head for Caldwell ID next weekend for the Rally and Show.

Plan to ride it right up to the front door and bring the sweet smell of Castor in with me!!
