I like the idea of the Spud, PapaYolk!
![]() Not ready yet to build one, but I am subscribed to watch development. Possibly buy a set of plans at a future date. I also sent the link to the website to a buddy of mine who I ride with occasionally. He is currently in his RV in the Floriday Keys.

Open Casting.
Just pitched Spud to ABC's "Shark Tank". [spackle these pox marks and spray on some tan] "I'm ready for my close up." This could be cool. Get payed to pull Spud to New York City?

Great little trailer Papa Y.....I am already thinking about how it could be adapted to become a tub on my sidecar!
I am scheming on a build for a sidecar camper and an inmate turned me on to your thread... As light as your rig will be, I may consider pulling a trailer instead...behind my rig.On another note...the Key West escapades bring back some interesting memories to me...I attended Naval sonar school there in 1962...yep, during the Cuban Crisis and I actually stood armed watch in the sub pens every other day and went to school the days in between. Weird days when the town of Key West was taken over by the military with barbed wire, radar and antiaircraft gun emplacements on the city beaches...wow! I also lived in Boise and Fruitland ID for a few years and rode and camped that area pretty extensively...beautiful country! In fact I became a sidecarist while living in Boise.... Stay well and good luck on the production as well as a RTW trip.... Brian

When you design the tenting between the two halves, have you thought about adding extra material over the top and adding some poles to hold it up to give you full sitting height inside in the middle?
It shouldn't be too hard to do that. I do something similar with the bug netting that I use when I camp in my sidecar rig. I made the poles out of some of those fiberglass driveway markers you can find at any local farm store with some metal tubing expoxied to the end of one of them, making a socket to join them together. The center panel of my cover is a rip-stop nylon material to keep the dew off of me, with the curve of the poles giving lots of room inside.

To those who have contacted me about plans. Sorry, but due to family obligations and other private matters, I am now looking to hand this project off to those who have the means of completing it as soon as possible.
