◊ Brand New Stock Cam in box (great for hair scrambles) ($140)
◊ NX650 Second Gear (decreases the large gap between 1st and 2nd and makes 2nd a wheelie gear) ($30 + cost of rebuilding the transmission)
◊ Xr600 10.5:1 piston (why XR600, because it has the ideal compression, higher than stock but runs great on regular gas) ($180)
◊ Valve ground and lapped by XRs Only ($100)
◊ New Exhaust Valves ($100)
◊ New Cam Chain ($80)
◊ FCR40mm Pumper Carb (makes this bike rip!) ($250)

◊ SEA wire to battery for charging, plugging in GPS, Heated clothing …

Shortly after I talked with Steve, I took the starter apart and these little black chunks kept coming out.

Initially,I hooked the starter up incorrectly and had a direct short to the starter. I then rectified that and it was still making the same awful noise. Did the initial short blow something apart in the starter?

In any case, I'm going to fire it up in the morning when I can see, and rider the sucker. I'm looking forward to good Sunday

It doesn't look too clean in this photo? It really is pretty compact and out of the way.

Here is what the LED's look like lit up, they are going to be perfect, bright enough to be seen in sunlight but not blinding.

Here is my newly finished up front end.

Here is a question for the collective, my throttle cables were long enough to reach with my new bars and adapters, but my clutch and choke cables wouldn't reach in front of the triple clamps. Is this routing behind the triples going to be a problem? The cable doesn't appear to be binding at all anywhere lock to lock.

Top notch job!! Looks great.

Since I have that same clamp–even a Voyager mounted in the same way, where do I get the template for the LEDs and the LEDs to drop in? Did I see something like this a few days ago, or am I high from all the brake cleaner I've sniffed in the last few days?

Search back a few pages, Teach. Lane posted the information in this thread about a week ago.

P.S. Good luck with your starter problems! I hope you are riding tomorrow.

There is ABSOLUTELY no, I mean ZERO way you are a motohead if you went to dinner (ok, maybe you are whipped.... pass on that Maybe?...), then did not come home and stay up until it was done (Unless you had... uhhuummmm, "Dessert" awaiting and passed out), but then, to not be up by 3:00 am wrenching????

Please, please take off the skirt before you post any pic's?

We are UN-patiently waiting here
