The 990s have a 5.28 gallon tank and the 950s had an ever-so-sligntly larger amount due to the fact they have an external fuel pump (the 990s use an internal fuel pump). The stock tanks are not plastic and do not expand appreciably.

I've never run it dry yet, so didn't know actuals. There are ALL sorts of numbers out there on the webs. With 5.8 being the most common...
