If you would like to know how far your particular bike will go with your particular riding style.. fill up both tanks and turn off the petcock to the right tank.

Now go ride it until it runs out of gas. Double that number and you have your fuel range.
Turn the petcock on the right tank back on and continue on your merry way.

Daniel: I assume yours were post processed and not photographed that way? They look great!

Ya that gets you close but there is more fuel in the right tank than in the left on a 990. Ehehe yes I'm being picky

Kail! I enjoyed meeting you and checking out my first set of safari tanks in person. You were the reason I got mine!

Does it count if......

....the 10 Gallons is in multiple places? Each Roto-Pax is 2 Gal. Left front tube has 30 oz. MSR can, each rear tube has 50oz. MSR can. If my math is correct it's 3 oz over 10 Gallons! Just made it! BTW, right front tube has a fire extinguisher.....just in case!

Here's a couple better pics, taken from different spots around the Yukon.

I might look overloaded but if you exclude the cooler all the other bags and their contents was 56 pounds, it's nice to have some room and not unpack 6 things to get at another.
