Great turnout at the RawHyde clinic tonight at Pensacola BMW--at least 30 riders were there, saw lots of familiar faces! I thought my KLR would be the only one in the parking lot, but dang if there weren't a couple others there as well...can't keep us KLR-riding cheap bastards away from free food!

Many thanks to Courtney, Richard, and Tod for organizing this...have I mentioned lately that I have a good feeling about the long-term viability of this dealership?

Yep, several interesting points that fella made about riding techniques.

I rarely get off the seat when riding hard,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and that fella say's you rarely sit down when riding. Hug the seat with your legs,,,,,hold on lightly to the bars. Your legs hold you onto the bike,,,,,,,,,,not your arms/hands.
I'm sure he's right.
Eye's looking way down the trail,,,,,,,,,,,not in front of the front tire. Agree absolutely!

Also, when making a tight turn,,,,you weight the OUTSIDE peg AND if necessary, move your body away from center line of the bike opposite of the turn. Again,,,I dunno, and give him the benefit of the doubt.

Interesting night and appreciate Pensacola BMW for putting this on.

My new apartment is DIY-unfriendly and I need to change the oils in my new-to-me truck. Can I borrow someone's driveway for a few hours tomorrow afternoon? I have all the jacks, ramps, tools, etc., I'm just looking for some space.

I can usually get away with changing the bike oil in the storage unit, but that definitely won't work with the truck.

Looks like some rainy weather is coming our way, but sure. I think you have my addy & number - just text or call later - I'm going back to sleep. Dunno why I'm up so early...

Yeah, the rain is putting a damper on my plans at the moment, but it might clear out by this afternoon. If it does, I'll give you a call.

Thanks Pete!
