The standard plate does not protect the electrics any way. The tourtech protects the engine alot more than the original. .

Rock on Rock Hard

Def +1 on the Rock Hard

I have one on my 640, bloody brilliant !!!

Wouldn't be without it, it has saved my fuel tap, my feet, my levers, my body work & my butt on numerous occasions.

Spoke to Matt recently to organize one for my new 990 !!!

I made a kevlar/carbon one... but ran out of time to fit it and the bike hasn't been home since July. I'll find out if it works eventually....

Rear caliper not sliding

Went to do a rear pad change friday night A quick 10 miniute job right
WRONG
Caliper would not slide off mounting bracket
Remove caliper rip rubber boot to peices and saok over night with CRC
Tried to sepperate this morning still not moving
I enlisted another pair of hands and the wifes hairdryer We heated the bracket
Several hits with a brass drift and apart it comes
The pin was rusted and pitted
I had a spare boot kit and pin so i was able to get it back together quickly
I check and regrease these pins on my 640 at tyre change or any time I have wheels out
This will now be a regular accourance on the 990
But why has it never been looked at before
Probally because its not in the service list
So keep an eye on them

Mick , Yep , I fitted it , bought it from T. D. Hatrick in Townsville ( importer ) direct , about $120 IIRC . Just fitted the vacuum hose to the carb balance vacuum out let on the front cylinder and hooked her up from the tank and to the carbs , done about 5,000 km now and I have run the fuel down to within the last 1 liter of fuel in the tank and no issues , I think the key to that is have it below the lowest point of the fuel tank . Fuel pump problem solved for me .

Only difference between the pumps is ltr/hr iirc one is 33 and the other 35, OFB's is a flat mount base mine isn't. all depends on where and how your wanting to mount it.

The Super Enduro is fixed... thanks to Shark at Bali Harley Doctor... and a steal at only 3,600,000 Rupiah. The issue ended up being crud in the carbies. I guess I could have avoided it if I'd been prepared to trust my mate here with the keys. I'd trust him with my life.... but I'm not quite ready to trust him with the keys. I thinl the temptation would have been too much for him.

Off to the Bromo volcano over the next couple of days.

You should have said you meant the 990, mine were the Emig Top triple clamp and Revolution 2 Damper from Emig Racing in Orange anodising in a 3in rise. Paige is really good to deal with, excellent customer service.

Try the link below and keep your money in Aus, advantages , local servicing, no need to replace top triple clamp, uses a riser that moves the bars forward as well as up which is essential.
I have this exact setup on my own 990 and are more than happy.

With ya,

I have the Rallye Moto on my 640ADV full kit with triple clamp,
The only prob is that they didn't make risers to go with it.
It seems that it is the same kit that goes on the 990( might do a swap)

Their new kit seems to have sorted this out & they are sending me some new risers at a very good price to compensate. Onnya Vaughn.

I was just wondering what other people had done
