Accessories that fit both Hexhead and Camhead?

Help please from those in the know and who had made the upgrade.

I have a potential buyer for my 07GS and this will give me the chance to go to the newer 2010-up Camheads. Buyer and I have an agreement that in order to minimize costs for both of us, I will remove all accessories I have on the 07 which would be the same fit on a camhead. This list would also be of big help to others who regularly post related questions.

Here's my list of accessories on the 07:

1. Hyperpro non-ESA front and rear shocks with HPA
2. Touratech steering stops
3. Wunderlich handlebar risers
4. TT oil cooler guard
5. Leo Vince slip-on titanium muffler
6. Wunderlich Flowjet windscreen
7. Centerstand bash plate
8. Leo Vince cat eliminator headers
9. Lennie's Sprockets (although not sure I want to transfer these considering the amount of work involved)
10. Givi AF330 windshield
11. IICE Air
12. Sargent seat set
13. GSA side and top racks
14. Spoked wheels

15. Weiser LED signal lamp inserts
16. LED taillight inset from Adventuretech.ca
17. SW Motech lower engine crash bars
18. RCU Designs light bar
19. Pivot Pegz MK2
20. Maier rear extended mudguard

Damn... I can't believe the $$$ I spent on farkling the 07

All help is appreciated. Thanks!

I know that the wheels, racks, pegs and seats will transfer. I have put all of these on my 2010 from earlier model GS's. The muffler would be a no go. Hope this helps.

Why don't you remove the farkles and if they don't fit, then sell here in the flea market.
You can usually recoup about 50% or so of new cost,by selling the farkles.
If shocks are good, you can usually get 60-80% of new cost.

But that's it, buyer is willing to pay a bit more than 50 to 60% for the farkles that stay on the bike, the average age of the farkles being less than a year old. Saves me the trouble of uninstalling, selling, packaging and shipping. But if I'm sure I can use an accessory on a later camhead, I would transfer it rather than pay retail for the same item again.

Hmmm, my 2011 did not have LED signal lamps. I ended up putting the Weiser LED inserts in mine.

That's odd. I was told all 2011+ have LED signals. Maybe that is an option?

Coulb be an option because my buddy has an '11 and it has standard bulbs, too. Ours are both GSA's. Maybe the standard GS has LED's?

Hey thanks Jim! You did it in one big sweep

I am more concerned about the shocks, a big-ticket item, is it the mounts that make them different from the camheads'?

My understanding is that the ESA changed on the 11 model. The old system doesn't appear to fit the new system. You might be able to swap the control units and make it work.

If it entails modifications, then it's prolly not worth it.
