I'm looking at my 76CSx, which I believe is the same insides as your 60CSx with a different outside. Hopefully the menus are the same, if not, sorry that I joined in this thread.

MAIN MENU page -> SETUP -> INTERFACE .

That's where you saw that it's in GARMIN mode correct? Second item down?

At the bottom of that page is "USB Mass Storage". Select that. Now you should be able to access the card. And the card should show as a drive in Windows Explorer (or did the name of tha feature change in Win 7?).

Do you have another cable you could try, one from a digital camera?

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried several different cables with no luck and I did click on the USB Mass Storage and all it does is show a device tethered to the PC picture. I turned on explorer but nothing was there.

After spending an hour on the phone with Garmin Tech Support, it was determined that the unit they sent me has an issue and will not work. I have to send the unit back to Garmin for another replacement so I have another 2 weeks without a GPS for the dirt bike.

OK, I received my replacement 60 and everything loaded up great and is all set up
Now I will be able to find my way back when I do get lost out there.
