I thought the same thing. I belive originally he was going to wear the Badlaands Pro jacket, but switched to the Adv Rally Pro due to he was familar with it rather than the just released Badlands. Go with what you know type thing.
I'm sure somebody closer to the action than me in my armchair can shed more insite into this subject.

I believe it was that and the increased cargo capacity of the Adventure Rally plus the internal harness with the water bladder.


He did add armor to it to comply with the regulations though. Sort of a blend of the Badlands and Rally.
