looking good!
I see we run the same stabilizer a tip: make sure you a clear view of the stock odo after you finish your set up, liaisons will almost certainly have strict speed limits in some sections, it's easy to get penalties also, you will only need a left hand mirror on the bars, and get rid of the gps & it's mount 32 days left

Looking great! i myself am off to the eelctrics guy tomorrow to sort out the second buggy IMO sensor,
installing a second set of controls for the 2nd IMO, then shaking the bike down at a race on Sunday (second race of the Greek Rally Raid cup) whew, that's a lot of seconds ![]() will post some pictures here or in the navigation tower thread tomorrow. A tip on tires: do not run Michelin Deserts, but a hard(ish) enduro compound... lots of snow left in the high mountains, some places of the course will still be wet/sticky in 3 weeks time (heard it from one of the organisation guys who are writing the roadbook)... Michelin will have a truck at the bivouac, with special prices on tires and mousses, plus technicians who will be changing tires for competitors, a price list can be found here |

Starting to get excited
I pick up the bike trailer today and load some of my gear. I'm planing on leaving tomorrow morning for Vicenza Itlay, stay the night then drive to the port the next morning. It's only a hour drive to the ferry dock from there.
I feel like I have a thousand things left to do but I think i have resided to just make sure I have my riding gear, bike and just consentrate on having a good time.

a friend and I will be loading the bikes early monday morning and heading up the bivouac for registration and scrutineering, we should be there by noon...
What time / day are you passing by Athens? I'll pm you my mobile number in case you need any last minute stuff. I am still on Easter holidays (one week later for us orthodox christiansthis year) but also getting excited, I checked the weather and it's gonna be sunny during the race, temperatures around 20 degrees Celsius, I am still debating on whether I will be wearing a jacket or mx shirt, plus a mental note to remember to bring swimming trunks for the end of the race Have you booked accomodation close to the bivvy? |

Thanks ted! Hopefully I'll have a tale to tell come the 29th!
Balkan boy, as far a rallies go, it should be friendly enough as the bivouac is in the same place each day, and I know from experience that The location has some fantastic dual sport roads For everything from Ktm adv640s to monster gs1200s |

Cool, I am getting last minute stuff done like decals & t-shirts (don't laugh, here it is)
![]() Picking up the bike on Friday, had the suspension serviced as it has done about 2000 race kilometers since last I checked, printing sponsor decals and heading up to the Bivouac early monday morning with my friend Polytimi, she is racing her 450 'Berg So far entries are around 130 bikes & quads, I think Australasian Safari quad winner John Maragozidis is competing, plus a shit load of Italians, Austrians, Germans, a few Turks (sadly not Kemal) etc.... should make for a hell of an atmosphere ![]() Race temperatures are supposed to be between 20-25 degrees celsuis, weather forecast says no rain, I am soooo looking forward to this... Race schedule is thus: Tuesday 24th, Prologue, 4 x 5km loop, all done on sand / beach riding Wednesday 25th, Day 1 350kms L1 20km SS1 120km L2 45km SS2 120km L3 45km Thursday 26th, Day 2 350kms L1 20km SS1 120km L2 45km SS2 120km L3 45km Friday 27th, Day 3 350kms L1 20km SS1 120km L2 45km SS2 120km L3 45km Saturday 28th, Day 4 210kms L1 10km SS1 80km L2 10km SS2 100km L3 10km |
