Parts ordered
I got the plate and bolts ordered up today. What if any has been the best idea to help the output shaft not ware so quickly? My sprocket has a little play in it and I would like to prevent the ware if possible with the hope of not having to split cases and replace the output shaft down the road.

as stated just keep it adjusted and lubed properly , @s really hate chains adjusted to tight this is mostly the cause of premature output shaft wear.

The following vid is from an RDO7A output shaft bearing that I replaced some years ago now...I barely made it home on that bearing after a long trip without destroying my engine...it was moments away. ![]() I've posted this before....beware. ![]() http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2x-LqbBscdY

Africa twin Rally
Guys when I first got my AT I understood that every second year there was a US AT rally or meet up lets say. Is there any plans for one this year?

![]() I'm still in my radiation treatment and haven't ridden since November, except for one half hour. BUT, I am so looking forward to April 13th. That will be the first free day and I won't care if it's a Friday. After that, I will be available to plan a get together if no one else steps up. I'm thinking end of August. |

I would be in..
I would be happy to step up and host here in Arizona... I could have some fantastic rides planned that could be as hard as you like or easy. I could plan routes for both. What has happened in the past?

Most don't want single track pucker up rides as they would still have to ride home. But blue runs (ski slope rating) would be good with an alternative of pavement or a combination of boths. I'm not sure about August in Arizona though.
You would have to plan something around Prescott or Sedona. I'll even do Yarnell hill with knobbies.

Africa Twin Red Bull Rallye
hey guys
![]() so after 4 years with my beloved AT, i have come to some king of an "ending" to what i had first imagined it to be. here's some pics! cheers ![]() Africa Twin Red Bull Rallye ![]() part of the ideia was to keep the bike a with its original look, but a bit more "updated", so i decided to keep most of the original color scheme, and change the front, giving it new black parts in the bottom half of the bike. so everything started by changing the oil of the front forks to a thicker one, 10W. Its a great thing to do, the front seems more "responsive" and a bit harder, not as (too) soft as before. ![]() then the usual replacement of the spark plugs, the radiator liquid, air filter, oil filter, and so on... ![]() the new front! ![]() the puzzle... ![]() ...and here it is! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() here's a few details: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() so this is it. also, this was a little private joke i had to share... ![]() ![]() cheers!

Ok guys about to pull the clutch I fried and do the repair. Anyone got any good tips to make this easier? Also unless I am wrong I have to pull the exhaust to remove the case cover. Am I wrong on that one?
