Well I have been running Peg packers on my trips so far and this shits all over them in my opinion.
Check out the pics. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Hope this satisfies the photo requests. I really don't think it sits very high at all. I love it.

Ozzy, thanks for the pics! Please let us know what type of range you are getting and the type or riding you're doing.
The Givi plate is here. I'm going to wait until I receive the longer rear bolts before trying it on so I'm only removing the plate once.

Damn... How the hell are you guys getting 500km+ with an extra 6 litres?
I ride my F650gs around town and lucky to get 220km before the reserve light comes on.. it averages 5.1 -5.6lt per 100 but the usual 4.7 at 110-120? |

My mileage in stop and go city traffic also hovers around 5 liter / 100 km, but when riding on the highway, at an indicated 120 km/h in 6th gear, the engine is spinning at 4000 rpm and my mileage computer is showing consumption of around 3.9 to 4.2 liters, giving me a theoretical range of 400 km on the stock tank plus another 125 to 150 km with the additional 6.5 liters in the Adv tank. When I'm riding backroads with lower speed limits, I'm usually riding at 100 km and my consumption is even less than 4 liters / 100 km. I have yet to go on a long trip with the new tank, so that info will be forthcoming.

I order it from AU. Cant seem to find it any cheaper online. Yet to test my Milage but with my riding I usually show about 4.2 litre per 100 klm so I am hoping for 500+ klm range easy. Will have to wait and see.

Hey guys,
Just to keep you up to date, I am sourcing the proper spacer parts and longer bolts. As soon as I have them and they prove functional, I will send them out. Shouldn't be later than the end of this week. Thanks for your patience! Scott AdvTank |

That's great service, thanks, but you can skip sending me any extra parts, I've got mine all dialed in now and I love it. -John T.

I've gone thru a full tank of fuel of nothing but city riding, with very short highway runs.
Bike computer says my consumption was 4.6 liters / 100 km, and I managed to go 435 km with less than 2 liters remaining in the main tank. So as the weather warms up, my mileage will improve. I have yet to do a long overnight trip with mostly interstate and rural highways, but that's coming in April or May. I'm delighted with the adv tank setup. I'm still going to try a Givi topcase installation.

Interesting
I didn't visit the ADV tank site and maybe it's covered there but I'll ask anyway. Could you set this up so you could use it for extended travel and remove the tank & cap off the lines for your day to day riding where you might not need the range?

Flat universal plate with E52 or E55 top case.
Yes, removal is quick and easy: Remove the 4 bolts securing the luggage rack. Disconnect the vent line, then remove the 4 long bolt / extensions and the tank is off.

I was reading a review of the new Sertao in Rider magazine and they said it got
57mpg in a mixture of off and on road riding. Just for shits and giggles the tester wanted to see what kind of mileage he could get going down a road at a steady 55mph. He got 75mpg. Saw somebody over in Battle Scooterstalking about their 250cc scoot getting an amazing 65mpg. bobobob screwed with this post 03-24-2012 at 02:43 PM |
