Went to the Ferris State - Cornell Regional Final here in GB Saturday night. Some great hockey here this weekend, but not a lot of locals took advantage of it. I'm a Duluth native, so rooting for the Gophers now.

I was very glad to have a distraction at the house and only turn it on once they were already down 4-1. Not surprised at all - they vanished against physical teams most of the year, and Patterson was only good against the worst teams in the league.

Still a great showing for a team rebounding to where they once were. Will be interesting next year without Patterson, Matson, and (probably) Bjugstad.
