Ive got a few parts here for a Can-Am,I think its a TNT though which was the street legal version. I once rode a works model 250 Can-Am years ago. It was reputed to be an ex Marty Tripes bike. Every nut and bolt was titanium, the frame was a one-off no oil in frame skinny tube looking thing, special hubs, etc.
2 friends looped the thing hard, one in 3rd gear, one in 4th. I figured out when I rode it the trick was to keep the rear tire lit, dont let it hook up or it would flip very quick. It ran like a big chainsaw with no flywheel effect, instant revs and revved to the moon. The rotary valve engines are easy to get big power out of. Not the best handling thing in the world. Parts are getting a little hard to come by.

The "Black Widow"
Have you taken a look at www.classiccanam.com ?? Some of the info might help, it's getting kind of dated, but there may be some links that help... Good luck with the build! |

going to auction
keep it, sell it, keep it, trade it..... too many projects and not enough time or money to finish them. so im going to steal the fairing and send it off to ebay, hopefully someone can restore it to its former glory. kinda kills me to pawn off a rare piece of mx history but i cant even fit this into the "bikes ive gotta get to room". i keep messing up my back and i cant even come close to reaching the ground with one foot so my reasonable side, (which doesnt come around very often!) says this bike will hurt me. my back is telling me to listen. hopefully a fellow adv'er gets it and will share its journey with us
