Pittsburgh to San Diego, LEAVING FRIDAY

Hi all. I have an unexpected trip coming up. I flew to Pittsburgh for a funeral. Friday, I'll be driving back to San Diego. I'll be in a car but I was wondering what people think is the best/most interesting route this time of year? I need to decide between I-80, I-40, or I-70 as the main route. I've made the drive in 3 days in the past pressing through. I don't need to be that aggressive this time and could take 5 days. Wouldn't mind making a couple sight seeing stops en route.

Any strong recommendations? I'll be driving a fairly loaded small car but if anybody needs anything small moved, I have some room.

Thanks,
Carl

If my advice isn't too late, check out Moab, Ut via Cisco & the river road. Canyonlands park has some vistas for soul restoring (I'm sure you'll be back with a bike!).
