break-in frustration
Just finished a ground up resto on a 1966 Suzuki B100P (Bloop!); new piston , rings, bearings, and seals. 118cc of raw piston port power and a 4-speed tranny. The manual and the decal on the speedo (still there) say break-in for 1000 miles and not to exceed 36 mph in top (4th ) gear. That's 27.7 hours (!!!) of keeping it under 40 but I'm getting very impatient. It will do over 55mph and I'm thinking of running it in the Spring Giro at Jiminy Peak. Do I follow recommended procedure or . . .
