Yes, right now that price is just for the lights and mounts. I'm working on a wire harness, but don't have any in stock yet.

This comparison would be more useful if the lights were aimed in the same direction. HID aimed into the trees and dark sky while the LED is aimed in the field of vision and on the ground. LEDs win every time.

The lights *are* aimed at the same spot. The bike isn't moved for either of those pictures, but to be fair, it was raised, and pointed towards the downhill slope you see.

A large part of the difference is the scope of the LEDs. Yes, the HIDs are good, but they don't light up the surroundings like the LEDs do.

What is the watt draw per lamp?

Also, is it okay to just install one unit on a bike instead of a pair? I'm thinking I'd like more light, but my WR450 doesn't have many watts and I could mount the other unit on my XT225. I figure 3600 more lumens would still be quite a boost in light.

Also, the WR450 has a DC and an AC output from the sator. Will the Tesla LEDs work with AC too?

Each of the 2000 lumen models will draw about 20 watts, whereas the 3600 lumen versions is closer to 30 watts. A pair will run you 55-60 watts, about the same as a single standard halogen.

I am of course willing to sell them individually, at 50% of the cost I mentioned above. Send me a PM, and we can get you set up with what you need without taxing your bike too much.

I'm not sure about the output method for the WR450, but I would recommend running these lights via 12v DC.

Any chance of a more focused model? I have a pair of the 2000 lumen models and would trade them for only one thing...the 3600 lumen jobs!
These lights have huge output and are amazing value for money and output per watt, but I believe I don't have the best night vision in the world and on the highway I would like to add a pair with less light on reflective signs and more 2-300 yards down the road.

Spots: I don't have any plans as of right now to introduce a spot beam, but I will include the request in my search for future products.

BTW, 2-300 yards down the road is no problem at all for the 3600 lumen version. I got into this obsession with lights riding at night in the NE area, not very interested in hitting moose or deer, and I found these to work the best to expand my vision field both out to the sides and down the road. I've never hit a speed at which I feel like I'm outrunning my headlights anymore.

I have 2 models spec'd up that I'll be testing this week. I should get back to this thread with results by the end of the week. I'll post what I have, and you guys let me know which you're most interested in.
