![]() Top boxes. I personally had one. Ditched it halfway through my trip and loved the improved handling. I did like having a lockable and easily removable box, but would rather have a better ride. I would only get another one on a bike that could handle the weight.

That's the thing - leave it empty. Mine is only for locked helmet / tankbag storage at stops and beer / firewood transport to camp. You don't actually fill it up with shit and ride all day. |

Corbin Glove Box
Has anyone seen that glove box from Corbin? Tell me the truth - is it horrible looking or cool.
G'head - I can take it. If I buy and look like a terd I will be forever sad. |

Too big for too little interior space. I would rather a tank bag, both price wise, and size wise.

I have a seahorse 540 for a top case on my KLR, it holds my camp stove, cooking utensils, lighters, general camping necessities and the most important item, mountain money...

Last summer I replaced my Emgo with this 26L Givi. Think it looks a little better and holds a wee bit more:

Thanks Klay. Can't believe I slipped that one by for over 3 years.

Buy the generic plastic topbox plate so you can put 4 bolts through the seat, preferably along spines in the seat pan for strength. What size box? That looks like an E50, but once you have the plate, you use any Givi topbox you want, as long as it's the same style as the plate (Monokey or monolock are the two styles, not interchangeable.) The one concern is to make sure the latch is well supported on both sides (bike and seat) and strong enough for a load it wasn't really designed for. dwoodward screwed with this post 04-08-2012 at 01:32 PM |
