Parabellum repair?

Hey all,

I managed to put a nice crack in my Parabellum windshield. Lower left, next to and below the headlight of my R100 GS. Enough of a crack that a hunk about the size of my palm fell out, too.

Has anyone had experience repairing these, and have any insight on what works? Since the crack is out of the direct line of sight, it doesn't have to be clear as day. I'm even thinking of making that corner of the screen a mass of duct tape. Or a mass of super glue. Maybe a bunch of ADV stickers plastered over each other.

I haven't yet determined what the material is--acrylic, some kind of polycarbonate, etc. Planning on calling the Parabellum folks tomorrow to get their input.

The bike wouldn't start, and after an hour I was wiped out from pushing it up the slope of the parking lot and popping the clutch on the way back down. I called a tow company. A well-meaning kid wrapped a stabilizing strap around the front fork, against the windshield. Ratchet -- snap. Shame on me for not catching his mistake pre-ratchet. My bike is now safely in the garage, awaiting windscreen and battery attention, as well as a bunch of other things I've been putting off.

If someone has a better suggestion than a duct tape fairing, I'm all ears. Thanks, guys.
