Part is HEAVY and by that I mean that is a good deal. It's stout and should fend of any offenders that want to take a whack at that sidestand area. It fitted up 'PERFECTLY' even with the tighter tolerances that you've spec'd.

One comment to those mounting it up. Be sure to get the lower front bolt through the side stand bracket troqued to spec prior to bolting the mount plate up on the bike itself. There is no room to tighten the nyloc nut supplied due to lack of clearance on the casting for the stand. This isn't a problem nor a oversight on Charlie's part just the circumstances of the new superior strength nuts/bolts supplied.

BTW I have a Slaven's Racing Skid plate and there were no issues fitting it with that skid plate.

Good stuff, now off to Baja to test it out...

I used KTM nuts to match the rest of the bike. These have a smaller head so I did not have that problem :)

As long as you use loctite/thread lock no problem using the KTM nuts, I can’t source nylocks any smaller, nylocks are just easier in the field and less likely to come loose. This isn’t a problem if you torque the bolts using the allen heads in the countersunk’s and a spanner before you offer the plate up...as per instruction.

All M10's are 45NM and M8 is 25NM

Installed mine today. It fits perfect and, it was easy to install. Just did a little Dremel toolin' to the frame on my 04 as required.

Peace of mind is a good thing. Great Product.

I did the relocator and skid plate, they are both quality items, I'm very happy with it.

I have the Weld86 installed. I also have the Weld86 relocator, which would be perfect if it were steel instead of aluminum. It continues forward and has an additional mount through a bushing to an unused hole in a very beefy portion of the case.

Not the same Charlie as Weld86, this has caused some confusion. My plate dosen't attach to the engine at all but still has five fixing points and is made from steel alloy not aluminium.
