Ortieb bags anyone?
Anybody ever had these Ortlieb bags on the OEM /6 pannier rack? How was it, liked it or not? I'm thinking this might be better the OEM panniers (not waterproof nor resistant against falling.) Alu panniers are not an option, don't like the look of them on a nonGS Airhead.

Have them on Das Beast. No need for anything more. Strapped them directly to OEM BMW rack (R100RS, 1981). Probably lash worthy for most anything with 2 wheels.
I dig 'em big.

I have a pair of the Quick Release Ortliebs I used on the KLR and on the GS a few times. Always treated me fine. I've got the Adventure panniers on the GS now but have yet to do a trip with them.
![]() p.s. I think the quick release bags are a bit smaller than the strap down model.
