R90/6 speedo repair

Hi I have just bought a 74 R90/6 and the odometer is broken as t keeps changing numbers and the rev counter goes all over the place can they be fixed if so where,
Can they be changed to the newer model that has the electric rev counter

+1 on wirespokes. He is the resident gauge person.

Those units are not usually considered DIY. I think using the electric tach should be an option but it's probably easier or cheaper to get the original working proper. They are not a problem when they work.

You can change to an electronic rev counter -- they come up on eBay every so often, but note that some include a 'window' for the high beam indicator, while others don't.
