Quick update
Hi guys,
The new clutch basket is due to arrive today so we hope to have that fitted and ready as soon as it does. In the meantime, the second bike is pretty much ready to go so I thought I would stick a quick picture up for you to take a look. It just needs a little dirt now....

Dude, I am so in for this. I will have to live vicariously through you because if I had the bankroll I'd be doing the same damned thing right this minute! The DRZ (my SM at least) does turn the headlight off as it cranks.
Did you disable the kickstand kill-switch? |

Maybe I missed it ... but are you guys fitting some sort of pannier set up?
Soft I hope! Any pics of pannier system, racks, stand offs or whatever you've got. On small Dual sports I find carry a true RTW load to be a challenge. It's one reason I've stayed with the old DR650. Super strong rear sub frame can handle a load even over 1000 miles of wash board. ![]() I tried hard bags at first ... too much weight, bike was a handful off road. But the sub frame can handle it. Here I'm loaded with over 100 lbs. Too much! ![]() This set up took off over 40 lbs. from above. Night and day in handling off road. Suspension upgrade helps too! I use this set up when camping or super long Mexico trips. Only other thing I carry is big Camel Back (3 liters) that also carries lots of odds and ends.

That is one hot looking DRZ! You're correct though, it just doesn't look quite right without a bunch of dried mud all over it. I cant wait to see those pics.

Awesome! Just picked up my first motorcycle and it's a DRZ400. I love riding this little beast. Subscribed as I'm curious how all your gear is going to fit on the bike.
