It would be great to see Quinn win the thing but even more interesting if it wasn't on a KTM

+1. i hope that something "happens" that evens out the playing field - switching to 450's was supposed to help that happen, and it has... to some extent. i wonder what the next step is. it'd be great to see more realistic competition at the top... we've been watching Despres & Coma fight each other for the win for years now; it's high time someone else got the chance.

Video from the spectators is awesome because you catch a lot of the energy of their experience. When you watch the crash, consider the difference between what you experienced watching it on Eurosport (which I thought had good coverage this year) versus the experience from the spectator point of view. (Did Eurosport or NBC show the group fleeing from Gineil's Toyota?) That whole scene was brilliant!

That was awesome, Dread!

The rollover scene had a frenetic, Blair Witch type energy to it.

Dakar photos - many!

Maybe 205, but it's new to me: Very nice photo collection, you can browse by year and even filter by driver/rider:

Has there been any decision on Robby Gordon's disqualification? The word during the race was it would be decided in three weeks.

I have Googled and came up with no current info.

One more:
This is spectator video for the rest of the racers. Included is some competitor footage also (mostly Ronnie Bodinger's helmet cam footage). The clips start in Mar Del Plata and end in Lima, but besides that that I didn't even attempt to put the videos in chronological order.

Call to all the dormant F5 team. Did the FIA ever release their official decision on the Robby Gordon protest?
