Garmin Montana problem

I am currently riding in Morocco off road and having a problem with navigation of route via waypoints. Hopefully someone can help me?

I am getting 2 errors;
- only 50 waypoints can be used for follow-the-road navigation
- route calculation error; maps don't have navigationable roads in this area

Thanks for your help.

You should check out the Montana mega thread.

You are limited to 50 waypoints in your route. You also need a routable map enabled to navigate. If you made the route in Basecamp you can load it as a track and follow that. You won't get turn by turn directions but it's the only way for it to show exactly where you want to go.

Based upon the error message the maps you are using do not support "Along-road Routing". You should therefore change your Routing perimeters so that the Setup->Routing->Activity = Direct Routing. This will allow you to use your Waypoint to Waypoint route. Or, use a Track as cablebandit suggested.

Cheers,
