North Pole Jingle Bell Run

I know this doesn't have much to do with moto adventure stuff, but thought I would throw it up here and see if there is any interest.

I am doing a charity ride from Philadelphia to Prudhoe Bay (Alaska at least) to benefit Juvenile arthritis. Depart Philadelphia area June 10th and hope to make it to Dawson for the D2D. Goal was to raise $25,000 for the cause, but looks like I am falling way short... At about $4,000 now.

Anyway, as it happens, the Alaska chapter of the Arthritis Foundation is holding their annual Jingle Bell Run on July 7 in North Pole AK. I have been invited to attend the event and encouraged to do the 5K - which I have agreed to do. I have also been asked to ride in the July 4 parade for the same cause. Might be fun to have a bunch of bikes in the parade.

Thought that maybe with all of the activities up there this summer, there might be a few others who may want to participate in some way. Some thoughts on how riders up there might help:

• Join me on the Jingle Bell Run July 4th

• Join me in the July 4th Parade (if the powers get approval)

Sounds great! Maybe some of the Fairbanks riders would like to be in a parade.

Jetting pretty excited and all of the planning is pretty well done. Sure to change once I am on the road, but for now pretty set.

Yup - trying to work it in. Was thinking about Skagway then ferry to Haines, the up to Haines Junction. Might be able to get it in just before the D2D. Trip is very fluid, weather and time dependent.
