That's not cool, I love riding up to Reddish Knob from the road, and the wandering off into the wilderness to enjoy the fire roads.

What a shame. I was so bummed the first time I saw that Spruce knob was paved. I can't believe that Reddish is falling too. At this point I may as well get a sport bike.

Wait... What's that you say? No, the FZ6 is a standard sport commuting adventure light touring bike.

Gauge Questions ...

All ... My GS doesn't have a couple of gauges I'd like to have ... battery and air temp to be specific. I'm pondering an idea that revolves around a custom shelf/dash that would hold some standard round gauges, But I didn't know if anyone here had some ideas on decent, store-bought items instead. Digital or analog, doesn't matter. Just want to keep an eye on the air temp and the voltage of my charging system.

Thanks!

Get out there and ride the dirt roads while you still can........ they told me it will be completed by mid-May. The road is only closed during the week now, but will be open on the weekends since they don't pave on Sat and Sun.

jeff
I for one, am glad they paved smoke hole road.

XA-VW / American Pickers

Does anybody else watch 'Pickers? I caught this on Monday and thought it was pretty cool. Mike Wolfe loves old bikes and old Vee Dubs so this is the score of a lifetime. Personally, I think he got it pretty cheap. I want to hear it run though... chirp-chirp-chirp

Ended up on the wrong side of that sign Easter Sunday.

If there is a bright side, maybe it will increase traffic just enough for the store there to open again.

That was nice not having to run all the way to Franklin or Brandywine for beer or Mac&Cheese.

The Trading Post in Sugar Grove. It closed this past spring.

$159,000 for a house/store/bar/pool room.

Anyone want to go in on it?

It would be a great ADV club house.

Very tempting.... but I can't be in two places at the same time. Trying to find help around there to run it would bring on the same problems as the restaurant/campground at Boyer Station are facing now. And for that reason (and area), I think their price is waay too high. Knock of $75K, and I might give it a second look.

All this talk of places I've never been to has me thinking I should get up early Saturday, fire up the WeeStrom and eat some miles.

LOL! I was there that year. What a fookin' mess.

Just finished up a bike for one of your co-workers. Initial report is that he's happy, so I'm happy.
