A simple rifle is easier to get than an anti-tank gun (basically only allowed for museums/etc)...

You're not allowed to have a gun on your person unless you're hunting, or on your way to/from a weekend of hunting, or a registered member of a gun club and they're open today, or something like that. Merely carrying a gun around town without a good explanation why is enough to land you some jail time. On private property you can do what you want, so long as you never point it at anyone, and you have a permit of course.

Doesn't just apply to guns... a buddy of mine is a chef and he got a stern warning for carrying his kitchen knives around in the back of his car, when he wasn't driving to/from work (it was a pretty serious set of knifes). The basic theory is if you don't have a weapon, you won't use it.

If you live in rural australia guns are everywhere, one of my earliest memories is my buddy getting in deep shit for shooting the family dog with an air rifle... With snakes that can kill you faster than a helicopter ride to the hospital, dingoes a regular sight, and every other year someone getting *eaten* by a crocodile... there are certainly plenty who don't leave the house without their gun, except when they're heading into town.

But if you grow up in the city chances are the only gun you've ever seen was on a police officer or bank security guard's belt, and they're moving more and more towards tazers in my state.

It seems to work pretty well. Most assaults (at least in my city) are simple fist fights.
What about ice picks and hatchets??

I'm thinking it has something to do with his weiner size. Some folks just have to over compensate. Just say'n.
I want to live in a world where common sense and courtesy trump entitlement...a world where chickens can cross the road without having their motivation questioned.

OP, the other guy did not crash within your view. The loud exhaust, lane changing idiot is making his way through traffic, without crashing. Maybe you don't want to ride that way, maybe you do. Maybe you don't notice scooters silently haulin' ass in urban areas. How about a fast bike ridden slow? My favorite.
