Re: '94 R100r
Does anybody know of a way to lower the footpegs on this bike?. Suburban Machinery says they don't have a kit.

Should be the same as the GS. There are a few options, but most will look more suited for a dual sport I would assume.
Are you going for a non-aggressive looking peg? |

I'm not concerned about the "look", I just want to get my feet lower to straighten my knees as much as possible. Thanks, TA |

I went with Fastways on my GS (http://www.gunsmoke.com/motorcycling...egs/index.html) but it was more for a better stance offroad than to lower them (they actually lower very little and the screws add a lot of traction which makes shifting a bit more difficult).
There are these which look to lower quite a bit more: http://www.motorcycle-luggage-shop.c..._cm_lower.html Then there are these threads for more info: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=772441 http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=159744 http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=341741 |

As stated you can use any lowering pegs that will fit the later R100GS.
I also had the Fastways on my '94 R100GSPD. They are a nice foot peg and you will be able to lower yours around a half inch, maybe a bit more as the rubber R100R pegs are thicker than the stock GS metal ones. You will feel more engine vibration going from the rubber pegs. Have you considered highway pegs on your engine guards or resting the heals on top of the guards as a rest from cramped knees?

It might be easier to add an inch to the seat than to lower the pegs.
