While I don't want to slow the game down, I must remind you that this is not about pulling photos out of the files. This is supposed to be about getting on the bike and riding around aimlessly until you find the next number. Knowing how hard it can be to find the current numbe, and not wanting people to be bruced, I'm OK with a picture a couple of days old, as you may have grabbed it expecting the number might change while you're on the road..
What do the players on here think? Do we need a file prevention device, or just let it go wherever it wants? Opinions welcomed, although, as my father used to say......... "you are entitled to your own opinion, no matter how stupid it is....

I had understood that the pictures had only to have been shot by the poster. (not found on Google Images).
If we can't use pictures from previous travels, my opinion is that it makes the game less interesting but it is just my opinion and I don't make the rules... |

Are you sure he didn't ride up there today????
I have no opinion on the matter. With the exception of it not being a bike you rode somewhere and snapped or had someone else snap a photo of. Until this is settled should we continue or paws??? |

File tags suck in any and every game. I like seeing where people have ridden in picture threads but tag games are about riding now... Sorry, but I always complain about them... It's like playing half a game

I think I started the game with the intention of making it easy for us to ride out and grab a picture of our bike with something simple, something that could be found in every area, available to every rider.
as I have previously stated, I see no problem with a picture a couple of days old, that you took with the intention of catching a tag in a couple of numbers, i.e., the tag is currently 46, if I saw a cool 49, I could grab it today knowing I would use it in a day or two after someone else grabbed the intervening numbers. So, from now on, NO FILE PHOTOS, please. There really is no way to police it, so everyone, please, be on your best behavior. Now GO FIND A 46!

As I said, you make the rules but I don't see the point. Taking pictures of my neighborhood is boring and too easy.
For example I live on a boulevard on which each address is numbered from 1 up to 255. Therefore I can get 1 picture of my bike in front of each building and get 255 tags very easily but I'm not interested at all to do that. Instead I had fun browsing through my travel pictures files to try to find the required number. Have fun, but I'm not interested to play anymore. |

I see both sides here - I really enjoy seeing pics of places that I'll never be able to go, but the point of the game, as far as I can see it, is to go ride and get pictures, not see what pictures are on your hard drive.
There are forums here for posting pictures - dozens of forums. While I really would like to continue seeing pictures of Europe, this game, like all the other tag games, is about going out and finding the shots in real time, not reminiscing. One more hesitating vote for no file pics. Got a 250-300 mile loop planned out for today. Hopefully, I'll see a 46.

Remember, you can't post consecutive numbers unless they are in a single photo. You could post 46, then wait for someone to post 47, then post 48, but that doesn't seem like much fun..........
Let's go for a ride.............

I have found, in other games, that a file prevention device is just a pain in the ass and discourages players. As far as file photos, I think other than the odd road sign or such there will be very few file photos of numbers.

I figure once this gets through the house number range, it'll start to get pretty interesting.
