10 minute laps, it was long! Part of it was a long straight away that paralleled a railroad track. We rode this place for about 8 months before they locked it up! Here is another pic from the same area, I'm sure it's houses there now. ![]() The only time I ever went to the Carlsbad facility was for the 1983 ABC Superbikers race, that year Lawson won on a YZ490. I wish I could have caught a GP while I was out there, but we were deployed both years at GP time while I was in San Diego. I did go to Speedway 117 a couple times, and we rode at a track called Coyote Loco MX in Mexico. Natrually the place we rode most was Palm Ave! I miss those days!

Tank
Found a Clarke Oversized Tank (Gosh those things are ugly) for a very low price and I bought it. Now I am like what was I thinking, this Tank has nothing to do with a Marty Moates Replica. I might do a Enduro Series or 2 on this bike so I guess I will use this Gas Tank for those Series Race. Gosh what was I thinking.

So upset. Was outbid at the last minute for a 1980 Yamaha YZ465 Exhaust Pipe and Silencer. My bid was $20 and the runner of the auction emailed me and said he was going to end the auction early for me, well he didn't and I was outbid by .50. So the person won the bid at $20.50

You should have bid what you were willing to pay, the system starts at the minimum then raises your bid as others bid against you till you either win or get beat.

I would of bid more if the seller wouldn't of told me he was going to close the auction and I had no worries. |

Hope to have some more simple photos when I get home from work tonight. Running short on funds for the project so it is at a snails pace, but at least it is still moving.

Okay I fibbed. I spent today after work fixing the electrical on my 1976 Yamaha YZ125.
Hey does anyone know what Number Broc Glover ran in the 1977 AMA 125cc Outdoor Nationals? |

Broc was #17 at the start of the year, #1 at the end! The 1st of six #1 plates! 7 if you count the Trans Ama title.
