Iceberg Photos
Here's some iceberg photos I took while out for a ride on April 27th 2012.
My bike with the iceberg in the background, as seen from across the bay... ![]() The same iceberg up close... ![]() With a person in the foreground for scale...

I think this one was probably the best shot I ever managed to snap of an iceberg with my bike in the frame. Grabbed this one a few years ago...

You took some great pictures and it is amazing the iceberg looks surreal in the background, but thats how they are. These are taking by boat, but icebergs or pack ice nonetheless.
This one would hole any ship alive. You could live on it and not know you were on an iceberg until it rolled over!! ![]() ![]() Can't say thank you enough to the Canadian Ice Service as they saved our bacon and helped our trip be a success. You would come across these bad boys in the fog and not even know they were there until they appeared!!! The Titanic didn't have a chance without radar at night as the big icebergs create their own fog pattern... spooky. We came out of the fog during the day looking at an ice wall and did a hard to port turn, can't imaging the Titanic running at 20 kts+. ![]() Me hanging out on some pack ice... this stuff was scary as the radar did not pick it up so it was eyes forward!!! You could ride a bike around on it if you could get it there... maybe next time???? ![]() Me getting on to said pack ice.

There is something amazingly beautiful about icebergs...and unearthly.
Great shots everyone, these are truly awe-inspiring.

@ Chubby Thumper...
Those are great shots and bring back a lot of memories from 2008 for me. Nice looking vessel as well. Looks purpose built for ice? Hope I don't get flamed for having some boat shots as well, but motorcycle and boats go together like beer and BBQ. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Badge

WOW. My icebergs are mini-sized compared to the others in this thread.
These are from The Columbia Glacier near Valdez Alaska. I was in a kayak. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
