Leaking brake fluid reservoir
This eve I tried to install the Ram (RAM-B-345U) mount that fits over the clutch fluid reservoir (not brake fluid reservoir as in post title) on my 01 R1150GS. Not sure how I f'd this one up, but I did. After I installed it (following directions to the T), I noticed a modest amount of DOT4 leaking from the left side of the left reservoir cover as the bars lean lean to the side.
I tried to tighten everything down a bit more to stop the weeping. One screw popped a head (before I even really torqued down on it.) When I did torque down on the other three, two things happened: 1) leak/weep never stopped, and 2) the bottom left screw now spins out meaning I must have stripped the screw receptacle in the reservoir.
I took everything off and reinstalled the reservoir cover with the original screws...still weeping now and bottom left screw still spins out. Super.
Any suggestions on an easy/timely fix?
Thank you in advance.
