Ignition key 5-point torx`

What size is the security 5-point torx for the ignition key?

If you're talking about the two bolts on either side of the key that hold it down, they're not very tight, and come out easily with a pair of vise grips. I didn't need the torx bit to take them out, but I think they were 45. If I can check without taking the fake tank off I will.

+1. I couldn't find the bit anywhere locally (Scotts has them) and the vise grips worked great.

I just did this last week. it is a inverted torx 40.

Its just what is it called i guess. its a 5 point star tamper proof torx.

I was in the Harrisburg store a week ago, and their employee and I were unable to find any 5-point torx bits in their security kits, including this one.

Amazon has a small kit of 5-point torx bits for $8.99, though.

You guys are right my Harbor freight set did not come with the Torx Plus I know I have some in the harbor freight security bit box I just can't remember where I got them.

I got the free one with my Scott"s. I removed them and replaced them with phillips heads. Don't tell anyone.
