If Nicky didn't get punted his tires might have lasted another few laps but I don't remember seeing him ride that hard in years with a fire to re-pass as much as he was. .

Actually I was reminded of Indy last year when he burned the tires off kicking major ass at the beginning. It was pure awesome.
Tires didn't make it unfortunately and I think he bailed if my caffeine is working properly today.

4 camshafts and some programming time. How hard could it be? A bunch of people on this site with 1/100000 of Ducati's budget make changes like that all the time. You just have to want to.

Or maybe the problem is that Ducati sourced their dyno from the same company as Ferrari sourced their windtunnel from?

seems like there heading for WSBK rules anyway,as long as they run a twin,i dont think the other teams would complain
but a 1200cc twin with the mandated 81mm bore wouldnt rev too well

Ya being a bit harsh mate. I'm sure they're trying. I'm not a 'fan' of anyone,or any brand in particular.What I do know is that you can't just knock a bike together in..I dunno, how many months? 6? 8?, and expect it to be running at the front in this company/ level. No matter who's riding it! (Otherwise everyone would be doing it. Yes?)
No doubt it's hard for VR to cope with this, but he really needs to 'dig in', like his teamate is, and get on with the job of developing this bike. The photos we see of him hanging his head in despair are just not good enough.

tragic death of Marco Simoncelli may have several riders re-evaluating their priorities.
