Scotts stabilizer with RDubb's triple?

I have one of RDubb's custom triples mounted on my 1981 R80 G/S along with a BRP submount (SMO-9018P3). I'm trying to figure out the best way to mount a Scotts stabilizer to the head. I don't want to weld onto the frame, so I'm looking for the correct bolt-on tower to fit the G/S. The guys at BRP say finding the correct combination of inside diameter, tower height, and interior diameter contour (to avoid welding beads, etc.) would be difficult. Has anyone had success with this setup, and if so, which clamp-on tower did you use?

Thanks,
Marcus

HPMguy makes towers for the airhead GSs. If there were an off the shelf one that fit, I bet he wouldn't make them, but who knows there might be one out there that someone missed.

HPMGuy actually makes the pin that clamps to the steering head that the damper lock onto... not the towers, those are what Marcus already has.

ontic has the complete package from HPMGuy

Yep, we're talking about the same thing. They're called tower pins.

talked to ontic

I've been in contact with Ontic, and he sent me detailed images of HPMguy's pin tower. It just clears the stock g/s tank and it looks like it will work with the PD tank also. I've ordered one from HPMguy. I'll be getting the offroad damper rather than the street version, partly because the guys at Scotts recommended it for my riding style, and partly because I'll also be using it on my KTM 450. Thanks, Spencer, for the connection. Lobo, I've been following your WP Extreme thread; thanks for taking the time to document the whole process. There's a lot of great information in there. I love this forum!!
