Thanks for the link. I was at a HF store this morning and saw that stapler, but didn't see staples for it there. I didn't realize that it uses the common Arrow T-50 staples. (the link you sent said T-50, think you made a typo saying T-20 maybe) I wish I'd bought one. Maybe I'll go back and get one. The 1/2 long crown staples I used last time made me nervous about coming back out through the seat cover, but worked fine. |

640 Adventure Seat
My new seat from SeatConcepts arrived and I installed it today. Install went well, and I'm think I'm going to be very happy with it. The new seat is much firmer. The OEM KTM foam was really soft and hurt like crazy!
Here is the old Austrian torture device. ![]() The new foam is a bit of a different shape, a bit wider at the back. ![]() Here is a look at what the seat pan looks like. ![]() Used some spray contact glue to adhere the foam to the pan. ![]() T-50 Arrow staples did the trick. ![]() The new seat intalled. ![]() The new hotness! ![]() Thanks for the awesome service!

I see the seat for '00-'07 F650GS in Dakar but no stock GS, low version though. Any chances you will have those made?

I just ordered from seat concepts today for my 09 Versys. They were easy to get on the phone, friendly and efficient.

I'm surprised how many folks need to upgrade their streetbike seats. All the streetbikes I've ridden have had comfy seats.
I wonder which bike has the worst stock seat? I was surprised how bad the DRZ seat is, but I doubt that it's the worst. It's hard to understand how companies can engineer great motorcycles and engineer such crappy seats for them. Maybe we Americans have tender butts ?!!??

Body weight does make a difference, too - something the mfg's should think about. Some offer "low" seats, but none offer "heavy". I'm 210 lbs, and really like the higher density seat concepts foam. I note they list their standard foam works well up to 240, so maybe they've shifted. My weight was right on the line back when I ordered.

Got it in yesterday and installed today. I can tell already it's vastly superior to the stock seat. I'll find out soon how it is for 10 hour days. It's been a great experience so far. The guys at the factory are very helpful.

Wound up with one of their seats, via a vertically challenged inmate, for Fe Woman's KLR; very nice seat!
Great quality, easy to install.
