Is it true that the seats of the 650 and the 1000 are interchangable and the 650 seat is lower? if so anybody want to swap for a 1000 seat?

Anyone With a 2012 Wee That Lives Near Boulder?
FF's,
Do any of you 2012 Wee owners live near Boulder, CO? I emailed Roger from Caribou Cases today to see if they have the 34L top case for the 2012 Wee yet. He said he is waiting to get the measurement from a Wee and told me to pass this along from his email reply: "We are trying to get someone in Denver/Boulder CO to loan us a bike in exchange for a 50% off deal on the top case. Please help put the word out:)" So I am posting this to get the word out. If anyone thinks this is SPAM sorry. I am just trying to get a topcase for my Wee. |

Hard luggages can anyone point me to a thread or give me some Ideas - I want to be able to use them for my Ipad and lunch and wet weather gear for a commute ? I have a custom rear mudguard but think I should be able to fit most bars and Cases? Suggestions welcome

Hard Bags? Al Jesse Luggage make it for the 2012 650 Vstrom. I rode 1200 miles to his place and I was his "donor" bike. His quality is superb. The fit was spot on. My eight inch wide panniers (installed), are seven inches narrower than the Trax bags (installed) my bike came with. HB

New Tiger 800XC
Just got back from a 45min Test ride on the Tiger 800Xc. I can tell you that I would not Spend almost 13K for a bike that handles that poorly, Vibrates that bad and has no torque. I would not trade my Vstrom 1000 for one. I just finished a friends 2012 Vstrom 650. Put on a two brothers pipe. Sw-motech skid plate, center stand and Crash bars. I would take the Wee strom over the Tiger 800. Total slug when it comes to corners. So disappointed!!!!!

Another 2012 650 ADV Joins the herd.
Hello All,
Checking in, I picked up my 2012 DL650 adv bike today in Richmond. Nice ride down 10 home getting to know it. Certainly has a few advantages over my KLR, but the KLR will not be going anywhere, just getting a break from daily duty after 9 years well served. I like the fuel injection assisted 52 mpg I got on the initial 100 miles, and how smooth/responsive the motor is. This is going to be a Fun bike. TKLR |

2012 dl 1000
Picked a 2012 DL 1000 a few weeks ago.
Only issue so far is the buffeting. Swapped my mirrors for Aprillia Tuono mirrors and got a Madstad bracket. With the stock screen it's workable. I've got no noticeable lean spot. Gearing is a little tall but I can live with it. Seat is good for about an hour and a half at a time..............which is all my knees and ass are good for anyway. Next project will be a Zumo 665 |
