trip to salt lake

Guys, I started a new thread about a trip to Salt Lake City and back to Tulsa in this regional forum. I see a lot of Tulsans are in this thread so skip on over and check it out. We would love to get a few guys going on this trip in October. If you are interested pm me with your name and phone number. some of us are meeting up tomorrow for breakfast in owasso, and riding around skiatook lake and eating lunch. we will discuss trip planning then. come on and join us. 7:30 am IHOP in Owasso. Then a ride to Skiatook Lake to hit some trails.

cheers

Nice to have something perty to look at when stocking up eh?

PS on location: It's right by Crawpappies.

Jim Howard is selling a barely used (as in never even dirtied) 2006 280 Gas Gas: Red.

I will be picking it up on Friday the 11th and bringing it to the night trials for googling.

Just and FYI for those of you squinting over the fence trying to decide if trials is the next 'thing' for your moto world.

See you there! It should be tons of fun.

I often skip over to Arkansas and drag along with me various motosickles and the mountainbike. I have recently added dragging a kayak with me which is so much fun.

I took a little solo ride this past Sunday and cropped this video to share some of the trails.

There are 800 acres of trails available.
Byrds asks for a $5 day fee (they earn it keeping the place up).

The trails range from hiking only to mountain bike and motorcycle single track.
There are jeep trails galore and four wheelers have a lot of 2 lane to rumble through (while leaving our beloved single track alone).

Most of the single track trails need to be ridden more. Amanda lives out there and rides them. Louis, the builder of many of the trails, drives out from Sand Springs and tries to ride the trails to maintain them, and Steve and/or I go out as often as we can.

If you are interested in riding, let me know. It takes exactly 2.5 hours to haul bikes out there and it it worth it.
Bring your swimable skivies and some good boots.

I added a Chemical Brothers song.
I am not good at adding music.

Did the video just play silent or did it not play?

Your XR650 could ride quite a bit out at Byrds. She's a beast on little tight rocky trails though.
This is my XR650. I just sold it to my brother who took her to New Mexico.

Video doesn't play at all. You just need to reedit but no music or legal music if you can figure out what's legal and what's not.

hey, it doesn't have fork boots! i'm jealous. mine is water cooled though. i would love to have something that wasn't twice my weight but maybe someday when i can drop 7g's on a bike. or better yet i would just have to get a little cr250 in addition to.

Went to Stillwater today. Here's me bitching at Bob about taking me on a nasty portion of the red trail. Caution, bad language.
