My 100k /6 beemer
![]() She rolled over last night. My girl Betty hit 100k at 245am. Pulled over to take pic and a winter springs cop rolled up behind me. I explained what I was doing, he held a flashlight so I could get the picture!!! Good shit. About 20k of that are my miles. What a 100k motorcycle looks like. (Taken last week.)

They have a high milage show at the MOA national rally every year.
Some of the bikes are very clean originals with 100,000 and higher milage. (all the bikes have over 100,000 some look it, some have been rebuilt) I saw one in Redmond at the 2001 rally that had 385,000 miles. My R100RT has over 120,000 and it looks like it. I put half of that on it myself. |

Like the Energizer Bunny Rabbit, they just keep going and going. Probably one of the few vehicles that you worry about "who will inherit it" in 20-30 years...

My 77S (masquerading as an RS) has 140K, and even though it looks rough with three different shades of white bodywork, runs like a top. Next item of business (after a new rear tire) just may be new paint.
Cool story, and it's great you were able to photograph the happening. What I find most amazing is that the speedometer (and more specifically, the odometer) survived 100K! Are you sure it's the original speedo? I've had to work on my 77 because it wasn't working when I got it, but knew pretty well from records what the total should be.

Funny, the comment I keep hearing is that she is just now getting broken in! She runs better now than the day i got her. Looking forward to hitting that 200k mark. that this rate it should be just around another 8 years or so.
