Sorry Kiwipeet, it was a bit of short notice organisation, the track was available and weather looked good, it was just a trial run with a small group to see if people thought it is worth organising a "more formal" event next summer. Everybody seemed to enjoy it so we will try for a weekend event next summer where we can camp on the property, maybe with a ride some where saturday and use the track on sunday. I promise I will keep you informed next time!!.
Thanks to all those who came, it was a great day and I enjoyed showing you round "my patch". Cheers Rex |

Since the Autumn weather is continuing to be most amenable to motorcycling we decided to take the bikes out to Reporoa again for a spot of offroad fun.
![]() Roger & his boys & Gary & his daughter also came out to do a few laps of the 4x4 track around my family's bush block. ![]() A couple of generations of Yamaha WR, Rosie's 250R & Katherine's 200. I got a ride on the 200 & it's a great trailbike. ![]() The track is starting to get a bit slippery in places though so Rosie & I were glad we had swapped on our full knobblys & smaller front sprockets for the weekend. ![]() ![]() ![]() Then it was back to the hut for some post ride refreshments & off home into the rise of the perigee moon. (yes, trailer scum ![]() This was the 5th straight weekend we have got out on the bikes, it's been a great run lately. Cheers

With the weather being fairly dry it was time to go check out the block at Reporoa on the bikes again. We made it out to the hut on Saturday night before any of the rain showers passed over.
![]() The next day, after a leisurely breakfast & a bit of housework around the hut we set off around the loop. There were quite a few trees down but nothing we couldn't shift, cut or ride over or around. ![]() ![]() ![]() It was a rather nice day for it. ![]() I tried to school Rosie in the art of the wheelie down in the old gravel pit. Turns out 'just gas it' doesn't work quite as well on the 250 as it does the 640 But after some practice & copious clutch abuse a few repectable monos were performed. Then it was back to the hut for lunch & a cold beer in the sun ![]() ![]() Cheers Clint
