AZ Big Bike Bomb Run (abridged

Yesterday we set out for a classic High Speed, Low Drag, Big Bike Bomb Run. Not many pictures were taken, so this will be brief.

The usual suspects met at the CircularK in Fountain Hills; four 950SEs and a 950adv.

We set out to go over 4-Peak then up to Young. So we rode a little ways and MiseryGoat's bike died.

KTMser fixed it.

A nice place to stop.

Then we rode a little more and had lunch at Butcher's Hook. Good food.

Then we rode a lot more. A-Cross road around Roosevelt Lake. Cherry Creek (NF-203) to Young. We had to stop in Young for root beer, ice cream and octane boost.

The the sun went down and we rode home. I drifted in at about 9p. 12 hours in the saddle.

Great riders, fun day.

I told you this would be short one.

Dang! Sorry I missed this. Joy and I were planning to ride a lot of that and explore that 202 road that shoots off from 203. We might have run into you guys if Slowred and I hadn't beat ourselves up so much on Saturday in the Bradshaws!

Some photo's that I was able to take.

Some worked harder than others on this trip.

Despite the break down, Misery Goat is happy to be riding.

Along the trail are some magnificent overlooks.

The day was warm but we found this little creek crossing and lots of shade, a perfect place to cool down. Ask KTMSER, It was only 4 miles from the last stop. He kept the pace moving.

Somebody had to supervise.

That 203 trail is beautiful.

great looking trip! we're doing much of the same this weekend. 202 to a crossover road to get back on the other side of the canyon, then into young. gonna go back pretty much the same way. it's always different the other way!

and a short report always means you had a great time riding. no time for pics!
