What's really scary here is that you know who he (?) is and what it looks like. What kind of magazines are you reading?

Oh, give him a break; he's probably just a big, "Dancing with the Stars" fan

I'd like to

Hey Sean,

I'd like to, but as of now I have a lot of irons in the fire. I probably won't know until about a week before. I've got a sis that lives in Africa and I don't get to see her near often enough. She's gonna be in the states around that time ...... and she's first priority.

Besides, with the Dino ride, it's all pretty much stuff that I ride once or twice every year ........ but I wanted to go mainly to ride with a few old friends, and to meet some new ones. ( I'm trying to learn to not be such a selfish bastard with my free time.)

Rumor is that it is "oil field karaoke night" at the Vernal bowling lanes on that Saturday night! I'm packing my greasy coveralls in a pannier! You in?

I also considered that I might be able to make a few bucks on the ride ..... since I ride a tanker.
You know, 9 gallons of fuel, and 6' of garden hose, and "running sweep". Hey, drastic times require drastic measures.

Rob

I might have to get a couple more fuel bottles for my expedition bags, and then run the 2 gallon rotopax on the back (for 3 gallons extra total). If someone needs to tank off from me I should have a gallon or two to spare.

I have talked with Dave, the ranger at the gates of Lodore. I am going to take out a 6 gallon can and a cooler of beverages the week before, or have my daughter deliver on Saturday for those making the northern loop and not heading south.

Will we need more than 180 mile range? I can get 200, but I have to be nice with the throttle. And I don't foresee that being a viable option.

You should be fine. The reason I am stashing some in Browns Park is to top off anyone that is low and cannot make Browns Park to Maybell. My range is 200. I can make the loop north easily, but sometimes I want to make side trips and fuel keeps me from it. So I figured a little fuel stashed. I can get on the gas, play some Saturday in Vermillion Basin and Sandwash and still be able to make Maybell Sunday. On the up side, the Cafe in Maybell is open under a new owner.
