+1 Been in some long Torrents came out the other end and the only places I was wet was where the coat wasn't. Still wear it most days on the big bike. Had the pants for a while, Can't say I loved them. No Side zips so there was no "easy on/easy off" option, but still kept me dry for a long time and the suspenders kept them where they should be quite well.

My Firstgear Kathmandu gear has seemed waterproof as well.

I see Nikwax as a an enhancer or re-newer not a cure all.

Kobukan...what did you use on your gloves?

I see a roadcrafter light in my near future. I am done screwing around. If I add up all the money I have spent on discount riding gear it is well over the buy in on the RC light. Nuff said.

I think we all do that man, I think I have 4-5 jackets/coats trying to get it right.

ONLY reason I am after a stich is for the 10 second thing. Yes it is very good in other areas but that is my main reason.

I had one as well, bought it WAY too big thinking about layering to stay warm. It was both warm and dry. The protection (because it was way big) was not there. The second one has been great, still to big but that I because I am shrinking

More advice please

As you may remember, a few weeks ago I was looking for somebody to tutor me on wrenching on my bike. Now, my free time is running out and I just need to find a really competent mechanic. I would love to have somebody who's well versed in KTM stuff. I have a bunch of things on my 690, accessories and other stuff that need to be done. Preferably I'd like to find somebody who's north of Portland and west of Orono. Thoughts?

Morning all...whats that bright golden globe in the sky

I think we are seeing a gear trend here that says Firstgear stuff and Stitch stuff keep you dry...

I will have to try the Nikwax for gloves on my Held's...I was gonna just use the boot stuff since it is all leather

Well hopefully this weekend we wont have to worry about rain gear.

Oh and MWS you missed some great scenery last night at suppah

another +1 on the Killi jacket. Mine started to leak alittle around the shoulder seams but a nickwax job with second coating around the seams took care of that. I also think the early riding with a little leftover salt in the mix doesn't help anything....
