Back in the "Church". Yesterday up US276 from Brevard to Cruso, not a single car. Just two good friends on motorcycles, like we have been doing since our teens. The R100RS just purred in the cool air. You have to love an old boxer with cold air intake and good gas.

A good gathering of good people... and good food. It was great to talk to the folks I saw, and dang it, I want to meet everyone sooner or later.

Trip home on the Parkway... again, all mine. Overcast, so the old Kalichrome lenses made the sky clear for miles.

Rolled into the garage. Elroy, the house mutt, was glad to see me. The Audi TT awaits for packing. By nightfall, Folly Beach SC for a weeks vacation.

What a great way to start a Vacation!

Still clean

Glad you made it home without getting that pretty R100 dirty. It looks like I will have several hours of wet riding tomorrow.

Ah, the RS is pretty... from about 10 feet. But it's my RS, and that's all that matters :)

I didn't exactly get through without a little drama. I hit a bird coming up US276 from Brevard yesterday. It TKO'd the dead center of the RS glass on the headlight.

Matt said there was an explosion of feathers...

Guess she'll need a bath.

The /2 seemed to run smoother with the colder air - an airhead quirk/trait I guess. The ride there and back was slow and infinitely enjoyable. Truly beautiful country. The black pig averaged 47mpg overall even with 70% or more being uphill flogging and downhill engine braking in 3rd gear. Sweet. I think it's finally broken in.

I enjoyed the rally immensely. Showed up Fri ~ 1pm... nobody around so I took a nap in beautiful weather. Ate good, drank some tasty things and burnt some wood (Phil burnt an Adirondack chair!) on the fire and slept some more. Perfect.

Good turnout, good to see old friends and meet a few that I hadn't yet like Norton73 and Bmw loco. A very good airhead showing as well. Awesome.

Thx Mike, Jimbo, Booj, Paul (orange indeed... phah!) and other who helped set this up. A real treat. Thanks Mike (cigs & scotch) for the wonderful tequila and scotch!

Great rally! Wish I could have stayed all weekend, I rolled in home with daylight to spare. Thanks to everyone who put this together.

Todd really did show up... See, I got proof.

These hooligans resulted to burning furniture.

And... Humiliating the n00bs.

Hope the weather was good for the Saturday night/Sunday shift.
