AK ATV Salvage

Anyone have any experience with Todd Rupert? Gonna get some suspension work done with him (yes, Friar, he does the nitrogen thing). If your comments are negative, please PM as I don't like bashing folks on the forum. I was looking for good comments (if any).

I'm trying to save a crapload of shipping costs and waiting for my stuff to come back by sending it all out to CA.

AK ATV Salvage is in Eagle River... Zuggers Shocks is in the Valley, and yes he does Ohlins + many more...
Yesterday, I checked into a motel room and said to the receptionist, "I hope the porn channel in my room is disabled."

"No," she said, "it's regular porn, you sick bastard."

The ATV Salvage guy in Eagle River does good work, at least on the 4 wheeler I brought in. And he has a yard full of cool junk I want to turn into something marvelous ... and that would require me to get tetnis shots first.
I feel a whole lot more like I do now than I did a while ago.

seems like a decent guy to me.... I've salvaged more than a few bits outta his yard over the years. mostly the prices were really good on small stuff... mebby a bit high on something that would be a good project bike though.

BTW... I have a 1500psi nitrogen bottle .

Todd Rupert is a great guy, has been building bikes for years, is a very reputable mechanic and has been an integral part of Alaska ice racing.

I tried to buy a rusty old wheeler rear rack for my rusty old Rokon there. Guy said $100. I said No thanks.

I rebuilt the shocks on my Dad's XT500, and recharged them both for $20.

I'll bet Tom's cheaper!
We had part of a Slinky. But I straightened it.

Check out HR Racing, they're in town, great guys too. Race Tech and Ohlins cert.

I've yet to hear anything bad regarding ATV Salvage, not sure if that helps.
