Next week is Champions League final (doesn't the European season seem interminable and now with the Euros it will never end ).

Tomorrow settles the English Premiership - anyone but Manchester

I'm hoping Newcastle make it into Europe with a fourth place assuming Chelski don't win next weekend.

And lastly the English FA appoint their manager. Outside of some African nation which F.A. Would be so incompetent (ok, the French). They'll win the Euro's now

Tell Podolski that he plays for Düsseldorf and he'll spit at you.
There is a strong rivalry between Cologne and Düsseldorf (the cities and therefore the clubs, too). He played/plays for Cologne. Cologne goes down directly. They switched places after losing to Bayern on the last match day with Hertha winning against Hoffenheim.

Actually I am getting full of all the "finals" this month. I need that 3 week break.

Yeah, the english FA is a bit ridiculous. Are there no tactical adept coaches in england? Or at least someone who can stump the players egos?
Playing for their country should be an honor for the players. Somehow english (and french?) players seem to see it as their right. That's a reason their teams disintegrate so regularly. French has its act together at the moment, but that does not have to hold. Spain will be an interesting team to see. Mourinho spewed so much hate between Barcelona and Madrid that this will surely carry into the team camp.

I nearly forgot, Löw announced his preliminary squad (4 players still have to go).

GK: Neuer (FCB), Wiese (Werder), Zieler (H96), Ter Stegen (Borussia Mönchengladbach)
Def: Mertesacker (Arsenal), Höwedes (Schalke), Hummels (BVB), Badstuber (FCB), Boateng (FCB), Lahm (FCB), Schmelzer (BVB)
Mid: Schweinsteiger (FCB), Khedira (Real M), L. Bender (Bayer Leverkusen), S. Bender (BVB), Gündogan (BVB), Özil (Real M), Reus (Gladbach), Götze (BVB), Podolski (Cologne), Müller (FCB), Kroos (FCB), Schürrle (Leverkusen), Draxler (Schalke)
Att: Gomez (FCB), Klose (Lazio), Cacau (Stuttgart)

There are no real surprises, except maybe Mertesacker because of his injury and Cacau (simply not the best there is).
I guess he took Cacau because he is a good substitution player and accepts the role as a third striker. No reason to have a player on the bench who makes problems about his lack of playing time.
Draxler (18) and Gündogan (21) will quite surely leave. Their invitation is more a compliment and they are both still elegible for the U21 team. I guess Sven Bender and Ter Stegen will also leave, but that's more speculation by me and does not really matter.

Holy Cow! I don't particularly like either team but I particularly dislike Man U so for City to win the league by scoring two goals in injury time made me happy. I bet all those City supporters who left the stadium at 90 minutes and 2-1 down must be hating themselves

If they can't lose with their team in grace, then it's their own fault.

Absolutely gutted by Bayern's performance Saturday. Lahm even had the "smarts" to say that Bayern was the better team. 5 in a row to Dortmund....

Wish I could have seen the Man City game. What a finish that must have been.

So, Saturday is the CL final, then we move on to the Euros. Germany certainly are one of the favorites, but the loss to France in the "friendly" really worries me. Schweini is miles away from his best, we still don't have a left back, and we lack a world-class guy at the top. DISCLAIMER: I am so old I saw Uwe Seeler and der "Bomber der Nation" play; all others that came after were/are superstars, but not world-class.

Go to www.espn3.com you can watch it in replay.

Big day tomorrow. I'm going to marginally support Chelsea. Which just about guarantees Munich will win it 3-1

Well, Bayern haven't been able to "hit a cow's bottom with a banjo" in the first half.

Penalties

Out of sheer bloody mindedness, Chelsea should win this. It will go against all that's right beating Barcelona and Bayern who both played them off the pitch, but that's football.

edit

OMG!

Yeah, equalising and then the winning penalty. He's one of the best big game players I've ever seen. Amazing.
