STO welcomes riders of all scooters, modern or classic, maxis to mopeds. THE ANNUAL MID ATLANTIC SPRING SCOOTER RALLY will be held on May 20th, 21st, & 22nd 2011. HEADQUARTERS will be at the Hollander Motel, 320 East Main Street, New Holland, PA. All departures will be made PROMPTLY from the Hollander Motel. Be sure to have a full tank of fuel in advance. *****There is no fee for this event however, REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED at our web site---www.midatlanticscoot.com

Recommended scooter displacement size of 250cc and larger for the rides, which will involve some long hills, however ALL will be made welcome.

Saturday, the morning of August 6th, at 10:30 A.M., in Deering Oaks Park in Portland. The trip up the coast following Route 1, a fun, medium-speed ride that passes through some of Midcoast Maine's most scenic roads and small villages. The ride ends during the last weekend of the Maine Lobster Festival in Rockland, Maine. The Maine Lobster Festival is a celebration of the best tastes of Maine, in gorgeous downtown Rockland.

Registration is closed but we will be accepting walk-ins and late-comers. The crown jewel will be a lap around the MotoGP course at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Friday afternoon.

Due to circumstances beyond our control, such as limited space and practice times for the MotoGP race, we are restricted to 200 riders on the Indy500 and MotoGP track on Friday night. If you have already pre-registered, your spot is guaranteed, but you must still register before 6pm on Friday evening at the Front Page (310 Massachusetts Ave). If you have not yet registered, you will still be able to ride on the track with standard registration on Friday, in a first-come, first-served fashion. Additionally, if you purchase a MotoGP ticket from us on Friday, you will also have a guaranteed spot to ride on track, but we have a limited number of tickets to sell.

We currently have over 100 pre-registrants, and space for the track ride is filling up, but we still have plenty of spots available. This number is based upon estimates of attendees, and the cost of track ride spots with our partners at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Our sponsors and organizers have very generously paid thousands of dollars personally, to assure our position on the track, but we need your understanding, support and cooperation.

We hope that we've estimated correctly, and there will not be any issues that arise. However, in the off chance that more people show up on Friday than expected, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

At Friday registration, if you are a pre-registrant, have pre-purchased MotoGP tickets, or wish to purchase a MotoGP ticket to secure your slot on the track, please see Ben Roe.

All others will need to sign in at regular registration, and add their name to the waiting list. It is a first-come, first-served scenario, so register early! We will keep the group up to date with the number of spaces available throughout the day. Please register by 5:30pm, since dispersal of track passes will commence at that time.

You MUST have all waivers signed, registration completed, be wearing a DOT approved helmet, and have stands up, and ready to leave at 6pm SHARP! No exceptions.

If you have a passenger on the back of the bike, or in a sidecar, they too must be registered, and have a track pass. ALL riders must be at least 18 years old to ride on the track, per IMS regulations.

I went to this rally last year, it was a whole lot of fun. Over a hundred scooters showed up, of all shapes, types, and sizes. My favorite part was the Gymkhana, it was hilarious watching a guy destroy the obstacle course on a Big Ruckus, and cool to see all the guys on tiny scooters zip through it.

Bring your monkeys, knives, and scooters along on a crazy night ride led by those inglorious bastards in Monkey Knife Fight Scooter Club (ride returns to The Midway Pub for more super fun times)!

Drag your under-the-weather asses out of the gutter and on over to Twist ‘n’ Scoot (Decatur), where the staff will be serving up the cure for what ails you. . . breakfast!

11:00 a.m.: TSC Long Ride
Get your motors running and join the Terminal Scooter Club for a midday October ride through some interesting parts of Atlanta (starts at Twist ‘n’ Scoot (Decatur) and arrives at Motoretta Atlanta. . . but we’re taking the long way there)! Chase truck for the ride is kindly provided by Motoretta Atlanta.

Let’s take a break from powersliding (powerdancing, powerdrinking, etc.) for a few as we dish out trophies to the winners (trophy categories coming soon!), lots of raffle schwag, and the raffle grand prize. . . a sweet restored silver 1976 Vespa Euro model Rally 200 (more info coming soon). . . and Brett’s not even allowed to win it!!! After the Raffle/Trophy Ceremony, the party continues into the night. . . .
