N104 or System 6 - Bluetooth issue
Hi guys,
I'm a new rider (44 years old, first bike last month- F650GS yellow ).I've been riding with an old Go-kart helmet, while i've been searching for a flip-up helmet that i like. So far i have three choices, the C3 (put it in my head, and it's a little desconfortable, head shape?), Bmw System 6 and Nolan N104. I have the possibilitie of buying the system 6 at almost the same price of the Nolan. Looking at these two helmets, the fit and finish of the system 6 it's amazing vs the N104, so in normal situation i would by the system 6, but as i plan to buy something to connect to me rider friends, i have a big doubt, does all the systems of diferent brands connect between each other? The B4 nolan system, has an amazing sound quality, and connects to others bikes at almost 1 km, but i guess that it's with other nolan bluetooths systems. The bmw system which it's too expensive, i think doesn´t have bike to bike communication, so i would have to buy something else, like a scala system. Would this scala system connect to other nolan systems? My final choice decision may depend on how the bluetooth systems communicate between each other. And because of that may force me to buy the N104, since two good friends have this wih the B4 system. Any thoughts? Thank you |

You are correct, you need to all be using the same manufacturer's systems to use bluetooth intercom. Kind of a pain.
